Iron Lore Announces Titan Quest
May 10, 2005

Iron Lore announces Titan Quest, an action role playing game that combines fantastic visuals with fast-action gameplay in an ancient world setting.

We have been working on Titan Quest for over two years, so it is nice to finally let the public know what we are working on says Brian Sullivan, President of Iron Lore. We are really pushing the bar in graphics, with very detailed and organic environments that respond to the player, the combat, and the weather, creating a very immersive world. The game also takes place in the ancient world, with mythological beasts and an epic story this is fresh territory for role playing games, and one that I think players will find really compelling.

Game Tropics Network Interviews Brian Sullivan
February 15, 2001

"Recently GT webmaster Ogre interviewed Brian Sullivan. Brian Sullivan was the co-creator of Age of Empires. In late 2000 he left Ensemble Studios, the developers of the Age of Empires series, to start his own company. Iron Lore Entertainment is the name of his new company and already they are hard at work on their game."

Read the interview here.

Brian Sullivan Interviewed by John Callaham at Stomped.com
February 10, 2001

"The success of Ensemble Studios and its Age of Empires series of RTS games has certainly grown to be a phenomenon. While some of the folks at the Dallas, Tex development studio stick around to try and make new and better RTS games, others from the company have left to start their own ventures. One of these people is Brian Sullivan who was the co-designer of both Age of Empires and Age of Empires 2. In October of 2000, Sullivan left Ensemble and moved to Boston, Mass. to begin Iron Lore Entertainment where he is now designing a game that, from what little is known, does not follow in the same genre as Age of Empires.

Stomped got a chance to chat with Sullivan on his plans where he reveals as much as he can at this point on his new game and also on leaving Ensemble."

Iron Lore Entertainment President Brian Sullivan Interviewed by GameSpy
February 9, 2001

"Following yesterday's official announcement concerning the creation of the new developer studio - Iron Lore Entertainment - from ex-Ensemble's Brian Sullivan (Age of Empires), we tracked him down and fired off some questions about his new company. Find out the focus of the new project, and Brian's reasons for leaving Ensemble."

Iron Lore Entertainment Founded by Co-creator of Age of Empires
February 8, 2001

Brian Sullivan founds new game development studio, Iron Lore Entertainment.

Boston, February 8, 2001 - Brian Sullivan, co-creator of the Age of Empires ® series of games, has left Ensemble Studios to found a new game development studio. Brian helped Ensemble to become the game development powerhouse it is today while wearing many hats, including managing partner, game designer and executive producer. Brian has teamed up with childhood friend and successful entrepreneur Paul Chieffo to start the company. "Iron Lore was formed to create very successful, top-quality games in a professional fun environment," says Brian. "We started in October, and have been busy setting up the company and working hard on game design."

Brian is looking to take his experience creating Age of Empires and Age of Empires 2: The Age of Kings and create a new franchise combining the best of action, RPG, and adventure genres. "One problem with these types of games is they get repetitive very quickly," says Brian. "We have some exciting features that provide a lot of unique content and game play twists, which will keep the game fresh for a long time."

"I feel very fortunate to have talked Paul into founding Iron Lore with me. He has been very successful as a technical guru and entrepreneur - he is the type of person who can motivate people to really get things done. And we have been playing board and computer games since we were kids, so it's nice to be creating our dream game together."

Iron Lore's web site has just gone live. For contact and additional information please go to www.ironlore.com.
